Jill Nelson Golub is a partner at BMWL and a strategist who helps businesses, public agencies and nonprofits reach their policy and business goals. With more than twenty years in public affairs and communications, she helps organizations work through complex community, political and regulatory issues to build trust, shape policy and get things done.

Jill has led efforts that moved housing projects forward across the Bay Area, changed policies to support families and small businesses, and expanded access to childcare, education and transportation. She’s worked with clients including Google, Genentech, Sutter Health, UCSF Medical Center, the County of Santa Clara, the Contra Costa Transportation Authority, SEIU, the Silicon Valley Community Foundation and the Bay Area Council.

Her work often centers on helping large companies and institutions find common ground with the communities where they operate. She believes the best outcomes happen when everyone at the table feels heard and respected.

Before joining BMWL, Jill worked in New York City government as chief of staff to a City Council Member and as director of external affairs for the Manhattan Borough President’s Office. She studied Political Science at Emory University and lives in Oakland with her family.
